    Frequently asked questions

    Most of our check-ins are very simple since they are done directly in the reception of our office (Esparteria No. 1, 08003 Barcelona), which is very close to our apartments and open practically all day (from 10 am to 8 pm). Only check-ins for bookings in the Sants building (Riego no. 39 next to Sants train station) are carried out directly in the apartment. In any case, we will give you detailed check-in instructions when your booking is confirmed.

    The usual check-in time is from 3 pm to 8 pm Monday to Sunday. If you need to check in before said time, please let us know and we will do our best to facilitate you. An additional charge of €25 applies to check-ins later than 9 pm and €40 to check-ins later than midnight. In principle, check-ins are not available later than 2 am. In any event, you must give Inside Barcelona advance notice of your estimated time of arrival. Should this information not be provided, Inside Barcelona accepts no responsibility for any ensuing delays or inconvenience caused to you at check-in.

    It is very important that you given us advance notice of your estimated arrival time as soon as possible. Therefore, we can organise your check-in and ensure everything is ready for your arrival. If you do not inform us of your arrival time, we do not accept responsibility for any delays or inconvenience caused to you at check-in.

    You just have to call the office (+34) 93 268 28 68 or our 24-hour emergency telephone number (+34) 699 84 08 08 in the event of an emergency. Alternatively, you can drop by the office (c/ Esparteria no. 1, 08003 Barcelona) where we will be happy to assist you Monday to Friday from 10 am to 8 pm and weekends from 10 am to 7 pm.

We will be happy to assist you there Monday to Friday from 10 am to 8 pm and weekends from 12 noon to 3 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.

    On arrival, the apartments are perfectly clean and equipped with the necessary cleaning utensils (broom, dustpan, etc.) so that you can maintain them as such during your stay. However, if you require additional cleaning services, please let us know and we shall inform you of the different services available (full or partial cleaning, change of towels, etc.) and their cost. Bookings exceeding one week include a free cleaning of the apartment (including change of sheets and towels) during the stay.

    The neighbourhoods in which our apartments are located are not especially dangerous but it is better to be cautious. Therefore, it is advisable that i) you are wary of pickpockets, particularly in areas with large numbers of tourists; ii) you place your valuables in the apartment's safety deposit box; and iii) you lock the apartment (two turns of the key) and close the windows when you leave (or sleep).

    Yes. In the apartments, any loud or irritating conduct that may upset the peace of the other tenants (parties, for instance) is strictly forbidden. Should guests fail to comply, Inside Barcelona reserves the right to demand that the guest vacate the apartment immediately, in which case the guest waives any right to reimbursement for the remainder of the stay.

    You must check out of the apartment by midday (11 am) at the latest on the planned day of departure.

    You can store your luggage in our office free of charge provided you leave and collect the luggage within our office opening hours. Inside Barcelona is not responsible if a guest does not collect their luggage within office opening hours.

    Yes, there are cots (as well as prams, high chairs, baths, etc.) available for babies. The service is provided free of charge and is available in all the apartments. All you have to do is to let us know in advance.

    You do not have to bring bed linen or towels; these are available upon your arrival in the apartment.

    Yes, all the apartments have free Internet connection 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and air conditioning.

    No, pets are not allowed in the apartments (unless a request is submitted and authorised in writing by Inside Barcelona prior to arrival).

    When you check in, Inside Barcelona staff will explain how all the electrical appliances in the apartment work and will resolve any other queries you may have.

    Near our apartments there is parking available (public and private) to leave your car. Call us and we will give you further details regarding its cost and exact location.

    It is an easy and safe process. Enter the dates of arrival, departure, the number of people and follow the instructions.

    Absolutely. All personal and payment details (including the credit card details) entered in the Inside Barcelona website are protected by a secure server (https://) with a SSL security protocol certified by VeriSign. You can verify you are on a secure server https:// because it is indicated on your browser's toolbar (it changes colour and/or a padlock symbol appears). However, if you prefer not to use your credit card, you can also pay by bank transfer or through PayPal.

    The reservation is confirmed when Inside Barcelona sends an e-mail to the client confirming that the process has been completed and assigning the corresponding reservation number.

    It depends on the type of reservation and the rate selected. You will always find this information clearly detailed BEFORE making any reservation.

    It is subject to availability at the time. If the change is not possible, it will be dealt with as if it were a booking cancellation.

    No. All our prices include taxes (VAT) and other costs that may arise from the reservation. What you see is what you pay. The only amount that is not included and is paid on arrival is the tourist tax (5.50 € per person per night up to a maximum of 7 nights; children under 16 are exempt from the tourist tax).

    No, you do not have to pay any kind of supplement for children under three years of age. What's more, we love children and if you need a cot, high chair, special bath or anything else for them, please tell us in advance and we will provide it (the service is free of charge).

    In principle, no. However, exceptionally speaking and depending on the specific circumstances of the booking (extensive stays, special dates, etc.), a deposit may be requested. If so, you will be duly informed in order to gain your prior written consent before the booking is confirmed.

    Yes, of course. All our guests receive their corresponding invoice when they pay the balance of the total rental cost.
